Poster Award at the 10th Resilience Symposium

At the 10th Resilience Symposium 2024, that took place from 25th to 27th of September 2024 and was hosted by the Leibniz Institute for Resilience Research (LIR) in Mainz, the Poster Award was presented. Once again, the symposium brought together leading experts from various disciplines to present and discuss the latest research findings on resilience and the effects of stress on health.

In this anniversary year, two outstanding posters received the award.

On the one hand:  Dr Laura Meine from the University of Zurich for her poster ‘Coping Strategy Repertoire Size and Use in Medical Students Undergoing Stressful Internships: A Three-Wave Ecological Momentary Assessment Study Within the HMZ Stress Project’. Her study followed medical students during their first internships and analysed the daily changes in the use of coping strategies as well as their long-term development in stressful phases.

Secondly, Joeri Bordes from the Neurocentre Magendie in Bordeaux was honoured for his work ‘Impact of Early-Life Stress on Anxiety-Related and Social Behaviors Mediated by Insular Cortex Activity’. This research was dedicated to the impact of early-life stress on social and anxiety-related behaviours, using advanced technologies such as DeepLabCut and DeepOF for behavioural analysis to better understand the neural mechanisms behind these disorders.

Both winners were awarded a prize of €150.

A special thanks goes to the sponsor of the Poster Award, ANT Neuro, a leading provider of cutting-edge solutions in neuroscience, neurodiagnostics, and brain-computer interface technology. Their support made it possible to recognize the outstanding poster contributions and played a key role in the symposium's success.

This year marked the 10th anniversary of the Resilience Symposium, which has grown over the past decade into an important platform for the international exchange of research findings and scientific advancements in the field of resilience and stress management.
